What if you are faced a massive problem in an online classroom?

As a solution in an emergency situations, we recommend the following steps:

  • ❗️Move the lesson to the Zoom Meetings conference.

  • ❗️If students don't have the Zoom Meetings app installed, create an online conference on the Jitsi Meet website.


How to create a conference on the Jitsi Meet website?

  • When you go to the site, the system will automatically create a unique conference name for you. To confirm it, click Start Meeting.

  • Click "Join meeting".

  • Done! You are in an online conference. A link in the address bar is a link that other members can use to join the meeting.


How to add a backup room for a group in LMS (Backoffice)?

  • Copy the link to the Zoom or Jitsi.Meet conference

  • You need to paste the received link to the "Backup Room URL" field on the group page in LMS and click "Activate".

  • When the backup room is connected, the camera icon colors will change to blue.

  • After activating the backup room, students need to log in again on the Mars platform and go to the conference using the "Start lesson" button, as usual. The system will redirect them to the Zoom app or the Jitsi.Meet conference.

  • If the student already has Zoom installed, they will join the conference. Otherwise, the system will prompt them to install the Zoom installation file.

  • To disable the backup room and restore the standard Jitsi room on the platform, click "Disable". The icon colors will change back to purple.
