How To Generate Targeting Rules Using AI


Follow these steps to create or update targeting rules:

  1. Open targeting

    • Navigate to your campaign or general targeting settings

    • Click on the targeting rules

  2. Enter your prompt

    • Type your instructions into the input field

    • Be as descriptive as possible for the best results

    • Examples:

      • Target new mobile visitors on product pages

      • Show this popup only on the home page for returning visitors

      • Exclude visitors located in the United States

  3. Click Generate

    • Click “Generate” to have AI create or update your targeting rules

    • By default, the new conditions will be added to your existing ruleset

    • You can also prompt AI to update or remove existing conditions

  4. Review the proposed changes

    • A preview of all changes will be generated before they go live

    • We recommend reviewing all generated targeting carefully to ensure everything looks correct before publishing

  5. Accept or discard changes

    • Click “Accept Changes” to apply the updated targeting

    • Or click “Discard” to reject the generated changes

  6. Save your targeting

    • Click “Save” to make your targeting changes live
