This guide walks through how to connect Redo with Alia so that email and SMS signups collected through your Alia popups can automatically trigger your Redo automations and create customer profiles.
Before you begin
Before setting up the integration, make sure you have:
Access to your Redo account
Admin access to your Alia dashboard
Step 1: Create your API credentials in Redo
First, you'll need to generate an API key inside Redo.
1. Log in to Redo
2. Head to Settings
3. Open the Developer tab
4. Click Add API Client
5. Create your API key
6. Copy both:
Your API Key
Your Storefront ID
You'll use both of these in the Alia dashboard.
Step 2: Connect Redo inside Alia
Once you have your API credentials:
1. Log in to Alia
2. Head to the Integrations tab
3. Find Redo and click Connect
4. Paste in:
Your Redo API Key
Your Storefront ID
5. Click Connect
Once completed, the integration will be active.
Step 3: Enable automation triggering
After connecting the integration, you will see two optional settings inside Alia:
Trigger SMS automations
Trigger email automations
These settings must be enabled if you want signup events from Alia to trigger your automation flows inside Redo, such as:
Welcome flows
SMS welcome series
Email onboarding flows
Other customer lifecycle automations
If these toggles are disabled, profiles will still be created in Redo, but automations will not trigger automatically.
How signups sync into Redo
Unlike some ESPs, Redo does not use lists for customer organization.
Instead:
All signups collected through Alia are synced directly into the Customers tab in Redo
A new customer profile will be created automatically for each signup
Properties passed from Alia to Redo
When a signup syncs into Redo, Alia will pass the following profile properties:
alia_offeralia_offer_textSurvey responses
Survey question properties
These properties can be used inside your Redo automations, segmentation, and personalization logic.
Common questions
Do I need to enable both SMS and email automation toggles?
No. You only need to enable the channels you plan to use.
For example:
If you only collect email signups, enable Trigger email automations
If you collect both email and SMS, enable both toggles
Will signups automatically enter my welcome flow?
Yes, as long as:
The relevant automation toggle is enabled in Alia
Your welcome flow is properly configured inside Redo
Can I segment users based on survey responses?
Yes. Survey responses and survey question properties are synced into customer profiles and can be used for segmentation and automation logic inside Redo.
