Before You Begin
Please note:
All contacts sync into the same Contacts page inside Privy
Double opt-in consent settings are fully handled by Privy
Your API token must have:
Read and Write Contacts permissions enabled
No expiration date
Step 1: Create Your Privy API Token
1. Log in to your Privy Account
2. Click Settings in the bottom-right corner
3. Click API
4. Select Create Token
5. Name your token
6. Enable:
Read and Write Contacts
7. Set the token expiration to:
No Expiration
8. Copy your API token
Step 2: Connect Privy Inside Alia
1. Open your Alia dashboard
2. Navigate to the Integrations tab
3. Find Privy and click Connect
4. Paste in your Privy API token
5. Click Submit
Once connected, new email and SMS signups collected through Alia will automatically sync into your Privy Contacts.
What Data Is Passed to Privy?
When Alia creates or updates a contact inside Privy, we pass the following information:
Email Address
Sent when first available and not overwritten if already populated on the contact
Phone Number
Sent when collected and not overwritten if already populated on the contact
First Name
Passed if collected in the popup
Email Consent Status
subscribedif the visitor opted into email marketingnever_subscribedif they did not opt in
SMS Consent Status
subscribedif the visitor opted into SMS marketingnever_subscribedif they did not opt in
Tags
Applied based on your integration defaults or popup-specific configuration overrides
Custom Fields
Alia automatically syncs various popup, offer, and survey properties into Privy custom fields

Depending on the actions a visitor takes, Alia may send additional custom fields such as:
Profile Information
