Integrating Alia with Emotive

Connect Alia to Emotive to sync your popup signups into Emotive's List Growth flows.

Before You Begin

Please note:

  • Emotive integrates with Alia through Emotive's List Growth API

  • Each Alia popup needs its own separate List Growth Integration on the Emotive side. If you run more than one popup, you'll need to set up a separate API connection per popup

Step 1: Create Your List Growth API in Emotive

  1. Log in to your Emotive account

  2. Navigate to List Growth, then go to your Integrations page

  3. Click Add new, then select Add new List Growth API

  4. Name your new API something easy to identify, such as "List Growth API - Alia"

  5. Select which Flow you'd like your Alia popup signups to enter

  6. Click Next

  7. Copy your new API's API Key and List ID

Step 2: Connect Emotive Inside Alia

  1. Open your Alia dashboard

  2. Navigate to the Integrations tab

  3. Find Emotive and click Connect

  4. Enter the List ID you copied from Emotive

  5. Save the integration

Once connected, set the integration and Flow live in Emotive. Your Alia popup will start syncing phone numbers to Emotive and triggering the Welcome Flow you selected.

Running Multiple Popups

Emotive connects each popup through its own separate List Growth Integration. If you have more than one Alia popup live and integrated with Emotive, create a separate List Growth API for each one and make sure you select the matching Emotive List for that specific popup in Alia. This ensures each popup triggers the correct Flow rather than all of them feeding into one.

What Data Is Passed to Emotive?

When a visitor submits their phone number through an Alia popup, Alia syncs it to the List you selected during setup, triggering the associated Welcome Flow.

If the popup includes a Mini Quiz, the quiz answers are passed to Emotive as Custom Properties, which you can use to build segments.
