AI Interviews (Zara Interviews)
Zara interview is an interview with our AI assistant aimed at helping you to prove your skills and for us to assess the level of knowledge that you posses in the interview topic.
At this moment, we have more than one hundred interviews and assessments available for our users to take in different domains and topics.
We understand that the process can be overwhelming, but there is nothing for you to worry about. Here are the key insights for you to note, before you start your interview:
1) Any use of AI tools, external resources, or any outside assistance is strictly prohibited during the interview. This includes, but is not limited to typing interview questions into chatbots, separate monitors with additional info and help resources, your friends and family providing you assistance behind the camera, etc.
2) Depending on the interview domain, questions and tasks will differ. For example, coding assessments can require LIVE coding exercises, while language interviews will mostly be conducted in a way of a live conversation, based on your profile and experience.
3) Try not to speak at the same time as the AI assistant. This can cause technical issues or pauses during the interview, which can affect your final score.
4) Please note, that we cannot provide you with the list of questions to prepare for the interview, since all questions are unique and are based on each user's profile, experience and responses during the interview, since it is conducted in a form of a dialogue with our AI assistant Zara.
5) If at any moment you feel, that Zara is asking questions about your work experience, that you cannot answer due to NDA limitations or personal concerns, you free to ask her to skip and ask another question. We want to ensure that this interview experience is comfortable for all users and does not cross the boundaries that users have.
There is no limit for how many assessments you can take. If you feel that a certain assessment can help you to prove and show off your skills and knowledge, feel free to take it!

Use Google Chrome as your browser for the best experience.
Open an incognito window to avoid interference from browser extensions or cached data.
Close all other active tabs to ensure optimal performance.

Why are we doing AI Interviews?
The AI Interview is a preliminary check to help us assess your background and place you on projects that best suit your skills and experience.
How do I know if I pass/fail my interview?
If you pass the initial General Experience Verification interview, you'll move forward in the onboarding process and be matched with a project as soon as one that aligns with your skills becomes available.
For all other interviews, you will see the "Passed" or "Failed" status reflect on your dashboard.
Why is my interview still marked as required, even after I have completed it?
The "Required" tag does not affect the project assignment process. It simply indicates that this interview is required for all users to take.
I have faced technical issues during the interview, now it is showing as "Failed". How do I fix this?
We understand that different situations can occur, this is why we allow users to retake the interview. If there were technical issues, after the interview ends, you will see the button to "Retake assessment". If you do not see this button, but still feel that your interview was affected by technical troubles, please feel free to reach out to our Support team and one of our agents will assist you with resetting the interview!
What do I do if I lose internet or get disconnected during an interview?
You can resume the interview after successful connection or contact our support agents to request a reset of the interview. Ensure a stable internet connection and use recommended browsers for retries.
English is not my first language. Can I take the General Experience Verification interview in another language?
Unfortunately no. The General Experience Verification interview is conducted in English for all users. After you complete and pass the interview, however, you will unlock more assessments to take and will be able to complete a separate interview in another language, if it is present in the list of available assessments.
Can I do the assessment without a webcam, or can I use my phone camera if a webcam is required?
To complete and submit the interview, you will need a laptop or a desktop with a functional web camera. Please note, that your interview will be marked as "Failed", if your camera is not enabled. During the interview, please ensure that you remain in full-screen mode at all times.
Please also note, that if you attempt to take the interview on your phone or tablet, this can cause technical issues, which can result in the interview being marked as "Failed".
Where can I see all of the available interviews, if I want to take more?
Please navigate to the "Assessments" tab on your Alignerr homepage to view all available assessments. For your convenience, there is a search bar located on the top of the page for you to look for particular topics that you want to take the interview in.
How can I check my ZARA AI results?
You won't receive direct notification about passing the AI interview/assessment. If you pass, you'll automatically move forward in the onboarding process. We'll match you with a project that fits your skills when one becomes available. Keep an eye on your email (including spam folder) and the Alignerr portal for updates. We're adding members daily, so you should receive an invite soon if you've passed.
Human Interviews
Why are we doing Human Interviews?
Human Interviews help us assess your native language proficiency and other skills to place you on projects that best suit your skills and experience.
How do I reschedule my interview?
In the calendar invitation there is a custom link to reschedule. To find the link, go to your calendar, open the invitation and scroll down to the bottom. You’ll see a section titled “Need to make changes to this event?” and there will be a link to reschedule.
When will I receive feedback regarding my interview?
Due to the high volume of interviews, individual feedback or timelines won’t be provided at this time.
How do I know if I pass/fail my interview?
If you pass, you will automatically proceed to the onboarding process—no need to contact us. We will start matching you with a project that fits your skills as soon as one becomes available. Please note that individual interview results are not provided.
Is this interview mandatory to get projects?
If your dashboard displays the ZARA interview, then yes, it is required. However, the interview is only offered if your profile meets the necessary requirements. Some specializations do not require an interview, and in such cases, the AI interview will not be offered.
How are individuals selected for Human interviews?
Individuals are selected based on the experience they have shared when they registered for Alignerr.com.
