Description: This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to use the issues and comments feature in Labelbox to communicate about specific labels within your team. This feature is essential for collaborating on labeling projects and improving label accuracy.

Prerequisites:

  • Access to a Labelbox project with labeling permissions.

  • Familiarity with the Labelbox labeling interface.

Instructions:

  1. Open the Labelbox Editor:

    • Access the labeling interface by selecting a workflow step such as "To label" or "To review".

  2. Activate the Issues Tool:

    • Click on the issues icon located in the top left corner of the interface.

  1. Create an Issue:

    • Click on the asset where the issue needs to be addressed.

    • In the "New Issue" modal, type your issue description.

    • Optionally, add a category for the issue to help with sorting and prioritization.

    • Click "Create issue" to finalize.

  1. View and Manage Issues:

    • Navigate to the "Issues" tab within your project to see all issues.

    • Use filters such as All, Open, or Resolved to view issues based on their status.

    • Remember, issues won't appear in the Issues tab if the asset is still in the "To label" step.

  1. Respond to an Issue:

    • In the Issues tab, select an issue or click on an issue directly in the editor.

    • Enter your comment in the "Reply" text box and select "Submit".

  1. Edit, Resolve, or Delete an Issue:

    • To resolve an issue, click "Resolve" at the bottom of the issue modal.

    • Use the options menu to edit the content or delete the issue, depending on your permissions.

  1. Manage Issue Categories:

    • In the "Issues" tab, select "Issue Categories" to create new categories or manage existing ones.
