Introducing journaling to your team may seem daunting, but it’s easier than you think. Start by holding a team meeting to explain the purpose and benefits of the All In Wrestler’s Journal. Highlight how journaling will help them grow as wrestlers and as individuals, and emphasize that it’s a tool, not a burden.
Next, set clear expectations. Encourage athletes to dedicate a few minutes each day to journaling, either individually or as a group. You might choose to incorporate journaling into your daily training schedule, such as during warm-ups or cooldowns. For younger athletes, consider guiding them through the first few entries to build confidence and consistency.
Coaches can also lead by example. Share your own reflections and goals with the team to show the value of the practice. When athletes see their coach engaging with the journal, they’re more likely to buy into the process. Over time, journaling will become a natural and integral part of your team’s routine.
