The Allday code snippet is what connects your Allday account and your website - it consists of two small pieces of code that are simple to install (typically without the help of a developer).
Before You Begin: Ensure that you know what your website was built on/using (Wix, Squarespace, etc.) and have edit access to your website. If you are using the Allday Ordering Squarespace extension, view this article instead
Step-By-Step Guide
Step 1: Visit the Restaurant Settings Page:
You can visit the Restaurant Settings Page by visiting the User dropdown menu and selecting 'Restaurant Settings' from the dropdown:
in the 'Website' field, please ensure that your website URL is correct (if this URL is different from the website containing your code snippet, your menus will not show.)
Step 2: Copy The Allday Code Snippets:
Scroll down to the Website Settings area. Here you will find two pieces of code that must be added to your restaurant website:
1. Head Code Snippet
The Head code snippet is placed in the head of your website - you can copy the code using the 'Copy to Clipboard' button located below the code area:
2. Inline Code Snippet
The Inline code snippet is placed wherever you want your menu to be displayed - you can copy the code using the 'Copy to Clipboard' button located below the code area:
Step 3: Add Code Snippets to Your Restaurant Website
Adding the Code snippets to your website typically takes no more than 5 minutes - in order to provide the most accurate instructions, please select your website platform:
Please Note: Wordpress websites can rely on many different methods of installation; because of this we recommend working with your website developer or contacting us via email or chat for help in adding the Allday Code Snippets to Wordpress websites.
GoDaddy Instructions
Let's start with the Head Code Snippet.
In the left panel, click Settings.
Click Head HTML.
Paste your Head Code Snippet into the head section Content Field located under 'Head HTML'
Click Save.
Next let's add the Inline Code Snippet. Start be going to the page and location where you want your menu to display.
Search for the HTML section and select Add.
Paste your Inline Code Snippet into the Custom Code field. You can ignore all other fields
Your changes are saved automatically. Use Preview to see the results and when you're ready to make the changes public, publish your site.
Squarespace Instructions
Let's start by visiting the 'Pages' Menu (located under 'Website' in the left hand sidebar navigation).
Once logged in to your website, click Website in the left hand sidebar, then click Pages.
Find the page that you want to host your online ordering menu.
Hover over the page in the sidebar menu and click on the gear icon that appears to the right of the page title.
The Page Settings window will appear; click Advanced in the left hand sidebar within this window
Paste your Head Code Snippet in the box titled 'Page Header Code Injection' and then press Save in the upper left hand corder of the Page Settings window.
Next let's add the Inline Code Snippet to your online ordering menu page (the same page that you added your Head Code Snippet to in the previous step).
Ensure this page is selected in the left hand sidebar navigation
Press 'Edit' in the upper left hand corner and scroll to where on the page you would like your menu to be displayed.
Press Add Block, then and select Code. Ensure the block is formatted properly by editing the width of the block so that it is full page (the length will be handled automatically by the Allday code snippet).
Double click on the block created and paste your Inline Code Snippet into the field displayed. Please ensure 'HTML' is selected from the dropdown at the top of the Code window provided.
Once pasted, click anywhere outside of the Content editor.
Press Save in the upper left hand corner of the page.
Webflow Instructions
Let's start with the Head Code Snippet.
Visit Site Settings and click on the Custom Code tab
Paste your Head Code Snippet into the Head Code section Content Field
Press Save
Next let's add the Inline Code Snippet. Start be going to the page and location where you want your menu to display.
Open the Add panel and add an Embed element to the Webflow canvas
Paste your Inline Code Snippet into the field displayed.
Press Save and close the modal
Weebly Instructions
Let's start with the Head Code Snippet.
Log in to your site and visit Settings
In the left hand sidebar, click on SEO
Paste your Head Code Snippet into the Header Code section Content Field
Next let's add the Inline Code Snippet. Start be going to the page and location where you want your menu to display.
In the Build sidebar, find the HTML Element / Embed Code and drag it onto the page where you want your menu to be displayed.
Click on the Custom HTML element and press Edit Custom HTML
Paste your Inline Code Snippet into the field displayed.
Click outside of the Element and your menu should appear
Wix Instructions
Let's start with the Head Code Snippet.
Go to Settings in your site's dashboard.
Click the Custom Code tab in the Advanced section.
Click + Add Custom Code at the top right.
Paste the code snippet in the text box.
Enter a name for your code (ex. Allday Head Code Snippet)
Select the 'All pages' option under Add Code to Pages
Choose to load the code on each page your visitor opens
Under Place Code in, choose 'Head'
Click Apply.
Next let's add the Inline Code Snippet. Start be going to the page and location where you want your menu to display.
Click Add + at the top left of the Editor.
Click Embed & Social and select Embed Widget
Click Enter Code and paste your Inline Code Snippet into the text box displayed.
Click Apply
