How to Change Your Country or Region in the Google Play Store

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to change the country or region in the Google Play Store

Before you continue, please keep in mind

  • You can only change your Google Play country once a year.

  • You need a valid IP address and payment method from the new country for the change to succeed.

  • The change in country or region might take up to 48 hours to fully take effect.

Step 1: Open the Google Play Store

  • Launch the Google Play Store app on your Android device.

  • Tap on your profile icon located in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Access Payments and Subscriptions

  • In the menu that appears, select "Payments and subscriptions" from the available options.

Step 3: Go to Payment Methods

  • Under Payments and subscriptions, tap on "Payment methods".

Step 4: Go to More Payment Settings

  • Choose "More Payment Settings"

Step 5: Access Google Payments Center

  • Next, you will be redirected to the Google Payments Center. Click on the three-line menu icon at the top left corner to access more options.

Step 6: Go to Settings

  • In the menu, tap on "Settings".

Step 7: Change Country/Region

  • Scroll down until you see "Country/Region" under Payments profile. Tap the pencil icon next to it.

Step 8: Create a New Payments Profile

  • A prompt will ask you to confirm the creation of a new payments profile. Tap "Continue".

Step 9: Select the New Country

  • Finally, choose the new country or region you want to switch to, then tap "Continue".

Once you've completed these steps, your Play Store will reflect the content, apps, and prices relevant to the new country. Keep in mind that this change might take up to 48 hours to fully take effect.
