Reading Financial Heatmaps

How do I read & interpret the heatmaps?

Updated over 2 months ago

Allio’s financial heatmaps offer a visually intuitive way to analyze market trends and identify opportunities in real time. Size, color, and saturation work together to provide a quick, comprehensive overview of financial performance across market sectors.

📐 Size

Companies with significant market capitalization are displayed as larger blocks, while those with smaller market caps are shown as smaller blocks.

🖍️ Hue

The color of the block represents how a stock is performing in real-time; green means positive performance, and red indicates negative performance.

🩶 Saturation

Color intensity, or saturation, communicates the extent to which that stock is gaining or losing value.

A darker green block indicates stronger positive performance than a lighter green block, for example. Similarly, a darker red block indicates more losses than a lighter red block would indiciate.

Grey blocks indicate stocks that have experienced very little movement in either direction.
