What is net worth?

Your net worth represents your total financial position at any given moment. It's the clearest indicator of your overall financial health and progress toward your goals.

How Allio calculates your net worth

When you connect your bank accounts through Allio via Plaid, we calculate your net worth by gathering information on your assets and liabilities from your connected and applying this simple formula:

Net Worth = Total Assets - Total Liabilities

Assets (What you own)

  • Cash accounts: Checking and savings

  • Investment accounts: Allio portfolios, 401(k), IRA, brokerage accounts

  • Real estate: Primary residence, rental properties, land

  • Vehicles: Cars, motorcycles, boats

  • Other valuable assets that you can manually add through the Allio app: Real estate, business ownership, valuable collections, etc.

Liabilities (What you owe)

  • Credit card debt: Outstanding balances across all cards

  • Loans: Mortgages, auto loans, student loans, personal loans

  • Other debts: Lines of credit, business loans, outstanding taxes
