How to Send Your Cards to Alt
There are two ways to send cards to the Alt Vault, depending on what you're looking to do:
Option 1: Selling Your Cards (Snap to Sell — Mobile App Only)
If you've submitted cards through Snap to Sell and accepted a cash advance quote, your shipping is handled through Alt's in-app Ship Now flow. Here's how it works:
After accepting your quote, you'll land on the Ship Now screen. This shows your ship-by deadline and the benefits of using an Alt label (insured, discounted rates, live tracking in the app).
Enter your return address — First-time users will be prompted here. It's saved for future submissions, so repeat users skip straight to label generation.
Select a shipping option — We show two smart-defaulted options: fastest and most affordable. Every option shown will deliver within our required receiving window — you'll never see a choice that would arrive late.
Generate and print your label — Email it to yourself to print at home or at a FedEx location.
Drop off and track — Track your shipment live in the app with a real-time map and status updates.
Ship-by deadline: 3 days from quote acceptance.
Must-arrive-by deadline: 6 days from quote acceptance.
Shipping costs are deducted from your cash advance payout — you never pay anything upfront. Costs are only applied when your items are received and processed at the vault. If you generate a label but don't use it, you are not charged.

Option 2: Vaulting Your Cards (Web or Mobile — No Quote Required)
If you're sending cards to the Vault without going through Snap to Sell — for storage, or to list for sale later — you can generate a shipping label directly through your account:
On the web: go to alt.xyz/intake or navigate to Account → Shipments → Send your items to Alt
On the mobile app: tap My Alt → Shipments
Select either Sell in Auctions or Store in Alt Vault depending on your intent, then tap Generate Shipping Label. Enter the address your cards are shipping from and choose a shipping option.
Note: Customers are still responsible for all shipping and insurance fees for this path. Fees are invoiced upon receipt of your items at the vault.
Can't Find Your Label?
If you generated a label but can't locate it:
Check your email's spam or junk folder and mark the sender as "safe"
Disable any pop-up blockers, which can prevent the label from loading in-app
Snap to Sell users: tap Edit on the "Ready to Ship" screen to regenerate and resend the label
Generating a new label does not result in additional charges. Labels are only charged when items are received and processed at the vault.
Shipping Costs & Insurance
Snap to Sell shipments: Shipping costs are applied to your Alt account once the shipment has been scanned in at our Vault. Insurance is included by default and covers your shipment from pickup through vaulting. You can opt out, but we strongly recommend keeping it on.
Organic intake shipments (vault only): Customers are responsible for all shipping and insurance fees. These are invoiced upon receipt of your items at our Vault as well. Optional insurance is available when generating your label, up to $100,000 coverage.
Insurance availability for Snap to Sell shipments by value:
Under $50,000: FedEx and USPS, fully insured
$50,000–$200,000: FedEx only, fully insured
$200,000–$500,000: FedEx Overnight only, fully insured
Over $500,000: Contact Alt Support for special handling — insurance not available through the in-app flow
Available Carriers
We support FedEx and USPS for domestic shipments. International shipping is not yet available through the in-app flow — if you're shipping from outside the US, please contact our Support team for assistance as needed.
Don't Have a Printer?
Email the label to yourself and print it at a FedEx office or any print shop. QR code support (scan at FedEx without printing) is coming soon for Snap to Sell shipments.
Already Dropped Off With Your Own Label?
Snap to Sell users: tap "Dropped it off already?" on the shipping screen to move to tracking.
Organic intake users: if you've shipped independently, address your package as shown in the section below. Note that packages sent without an Alt label are not covered by Alt's end-to-end insurance — if lost or damaged in transit, you'd need to file a claim directly with the carrier.

Important notice regarding vault address: As of April 10th, 2026, the Alt Vault has moved to a new location. Please make sure all incoming shipments are sent to the updated address listed above.
In-Person Vault Drop Off
In-person drop-offs at our Vault facility are only available for assets valued over $10,000. All appointments must be scheduled in advance with our team.
If you're interested in scheduling an in-person drop off, please contact our team and we will coordinate the details and schedule your appointment with the Vault.
Vaulting Fees
Our vaulting services are free for sale-eligible cards that exceed $50 in value. Only cards graded by PSA, BGS, BVG, SGC, and CSG are eligible for sale on the platform at this time. Unsupported graded cards, ungraded (raw) cards, and cards ≤ $50 in value incur a $5 vaulting fee covering digitization, storage, and insurance, with no ongoing storage fees. You can outtake your cards at any time.
Damaged Slabs
If your card received a VCL status due to slab damage, it means our team determined during quality inspection that the damage meets one or more of the following conditions:
Damage is visible within the viewable face or back of the card
Physical pieces of plastic are missing from the slab
The damage presents a risk of further harm to the card
If you believe your card was incorrectly flagged, please contact our support team and we'll be happy to take a second look.
Reholder Requests
Alt provides reholder assistance for graded cards from PSA, CGC, and SGC. Here are the relevant links for each grading company:
When Alt Receives Your Package
When Alt receives your package, we use your (#VaultID) to match your account and process your items within 3 business days of receipt. You'll receive a confirmation email once processing is complete.
Your cards will be professionally photographed, valued, and automatically uploaded to your collection. Everything in the Vault is fully insured, and once processed, you can create a listing for each item if you wish.
