Similar to how you would log in to a Fidelity or Schwab account, we created a platform that allows you to upload your collection into your portfolio and track its value over time with ALT Value, calculated by using a combination of data and systematic market knowledge. Our data team has worked hard to provide some of the best research data for card transactions.

You can Vault any raw or graded cards with ALT for a one-time fee of $5 per card, which includes digitization, storage, and insurance. Please note this fee can only be paid with funds from your ALT Account. We currently do not accept any other payment methods.

ALT will waive its $5 intake fee on select cards graded by PSA, BGS, or SGC. These include cards graded 8 or higher, as well as cards that have an ALT Value of at least $100.

All raw cards and cards graded by other services will always receive a $5 intake fee when sent to ALT’s Vault.

How much does it cost to use ALT?

How do I upload my collection?

When you send your cards to the Vault, they will be professionally photographed, valued and automatically uploaded to your portfolio. To manually upload assets, click the ‘+’ button on the right-hand side of your portfolio. This feature is currently on found via web browser (not the app). You can enter cards via their PSA, BGS, or SGC cert number, or search by card name and then enter additional information like source and cost basis.

How is ALT Value calculated?

ALT Value is calculated by using a combination of data and systematic market knowledge. When we have a lot of data (e.g. base prizms), the value will be more similar to the average of recent transactions. However when data is sparse, we leverage comparables and use them as anchors to price the card, similar to how an expert in the hobby would do so themselves. The valuation model is updated daily.

Why is there a delay in populating ALT Value?

There is occasionally a delay in pricing assets that are rare, vintage, or a new addition to the ALT asset universe. If there is an * in place of an ALT Value then our model is still valuing your asset.

Is there a way to edit the name of a card after it's been uploaded?

We use a standard naming convention so you may not be able to edit the name of a card. If you think a name needs to be edited please reach out to our support team via chat or support@alt.xyz.

What do the lock/unlock icons mean?

The lock/unlock icon indicates whether the card is stored in the Vault. If you’re interested in this feature, click here for more information.

Can ALT Value be listed in another currency?

At this time we do not support other currencies.

Can I share my portfolio with others?

Yes! The Showcase is your digital storefront and gives you the ability to share your current listings from Exchange and cards with images from your Portfolio with the public via your unique URL.

I am unable to add an asset. Can you help?

Please send the card details or cert number through chat or to support@alt.xyz and we can further assist.

How can I view cards I put in my collection?

If you navigate to the bottom half of the screen on the ‘Portfolio' page, you can view your collection as line items, with images and details, or as a gallery by toggling between buttons. If you click ‘Manage Showcase’, you can configure which cards are viewable to others.

How many assets can I have in my portfolio?

ALT has customers with thousands of assets. We are happy to accommodate your large collection!

How do I correct an ALT Value that does not seem accurate?

If an asset's ALT Value looks off, you can request a re-price via chat support or by emailing support@alt.xyz by providing any reasoning or comparable sales.

What asset types can I upload to my Portfolio?

For our Exchange, ALT currently supports any cards graded by PSA, BGS, or SGC from any sport or game. For the Portfolio Management and Vault services, we also support raw cards from basketball, football, baseball, soccer, hockey, and Pokémon in addition to those graded by PSA, BGS or SGC. If you send raw cards to our Vault, we can help you get them graded by PSA. We are continuing to add support for more cards, so please feel free to provide feedback on which card types are most important to you.

How long after a new product is released will it be uploaded to the ALT asset universe?

ALT will add newly released basketball, football, baseball, soccer, hockey, and Pokémon sets to ALT's asset universe to be fully searchable within 1 month of release. If you'd like to have specific cards added beforehand, please reach out and provide feedback on the cards most important to you.

How do I edit the name of the card?

ALT uses a standard naming convention so users are unable to edit the name of a card. If you believe a name needs to be corrected, please reach out to our support team so they can further assist you.
