Why do I need this?
If you're using Jobylon as your ATS alongside Alva's Hiring System, you'll need a dedicated job template to connect the two. This template ensures that new candidates are automatically sent to Alva as soon as they apply, so the entire hiring process - assessments, candidate management, and moving candidates through the stages - kicks off without any extra work on your end.
You only need to set this up once. After that, you simply select the template whenever you create a new Hiring System job - and everything flows automatically from there.
Before you begin
Before setting up the template, make sure you have the following in place:
Admin or manager access in Jobylon - you need permission to create and edit job templates. If you can't access these settings, reach out to your Jobylon administrator.
The Alva integration is active - the Alva integration should already be connected to your Jobylon account.
💡Not sure if the integration is set up? Check your Alva integrations page, or reach out to our support team and we'll help you confirm.
Creating the template
You'll create the template by setting up a job in Jobylon with the correct integrations, and then saving it as a reusable template. Follow the steps below.
Create a job
In Jobylon, create a new job
Click Safe draft
Add Alva psychometrics
Next, add the Alva psychometric assessments to the job.
Click the puzzle icon
in the job toolbarSelect Alva Personality & Logic test
Choose your settings - keep the defaults for Personality Profile and Email Template, and make sure both Logic Test and Personality Test are selected under Psychometric Tests
Click Save
Add Role Fit to the New stage
Now you need to add the Alva Role Fit integration as a pipeline action on the New stage. This is what tells Jobylon to automatically send candidates to Alva.
Click the Pipeline Actions
icon in the job toolbarOn the New stage, click Create Action

Select Partner Integrations

Under Candidate type, make sure all types are selected (Applied, Uploaded, Recommended, Imported, Sourced)
Click Select Integration and choose Alva Role Fit
Click Save Action
Save as a template
Once everything is configured, save the job as a reusable template.
Go to Draft jobs - you'll see your job listed there
Click Make template
on the job cardEnter "Alva Hiring System" as the template name and add a short description so your team knows when to use it
Click Save changes

Using the template
With the Jobylon integration, you start the process by creating the job in Jobylon. The job is then synced to Alva, where you convert it to a Hiring System job.
Create the job in Jobylon
In Jobylon, create a new job using your Alva Hiring System template
Focus on the parts of the job post that are visible to candidates on the application page - everything else (process design, candidate communication, assessments) will be configured from Alva in the Hiring System flow
You can save the job as a draft - it will be synced to Alva even without publishing it.
Convert the job in Alva
In Alva, open the synced job
Click Convert to Hiring System
in the top right cornerComplete the Hiring System job creation flow - set your role criteria, design your assessment plan, and generate a job ad
⚠️ Important: Convert the job to Hiring System before any candidates apply. If candidates apply before the job is converted, reach out to our support team for assistance.
Copy the job ad to Jobylon
In the Publish step of the Hiring System flow, Alva generates a job ad for you. If you want to use this on your Jobylon career page:
Copy the generated job ad from the Publish step in Alva
Go back to your job in Jobylon
Paste the job ad into the description field of your job posting
This way, the job ad created by the Hiring System appears on your career site in Jobylon.
Publish the job in Jobylon
Once you've completed the Hiring System flow and copied over the job ad (if needed), go back to Jobylon and publish the job. Candidates can now start applying, and they'll automatically be sent to Alva.
💡Note: Always use your Alva Hiring System template when creating a new Hiring System job in Jobylon. The template only needs to be set up once - after that, select it every time you create a new job to ensure the integration works correctly.
