You will need access to your domain host's DNS settings (such as Ventra IP, Crazy Domains, GoDaddy, or similar) alongside Alvéya during this process. Have both open and ready before you begin.
Root domain or subdomain?

This guide covers connecting your root domain (e.g. yourdomain.com) to Alvéya. If your main website is already hosted somewhere else and you want to use Alvéya for a funnel or separate section, you will need to connect a subdomain instead (e.g. members.yourdomain.com or go.yourdomain.com). The process is exactly the same — just use your chosen subdomain in place of the root domain throughout these steps.

Getting to the Domain Settings in Alvéya
There are two ways to reach the domain setup area — both take you to the same screen:
From the left-hand menu, go to Websites & Funnels, then click the Settings cog wheel.
From the left-hand menu, scroll to Settings at the bottom, then click Domains & URL Redirects.
Connecting Your Domain
Click Connect Domain.
Choose what you are connecting the domain to — for example, a funnel or a website.
Type or paste your domain name exactly as it appears in your domain host account, then click Continue.
Alvéya will display the DNS records you need to add. On the next screen, select Add Record Manually.
💡 Copy and paste your domain name rather than typing it by hand. Even a single extra space or character will cause the connection to fail.
⚠️ Most domain hosts require you to add DNS records manually. The automatic connection option may not be supported by your provider — adding records manually is the reliable path for most setups.
Adding DNS Records in Your Domain Host
Alvéya will show you two records to add. Here is what each one does:

A Record | @ (root domain) | Points your root domain (e.g. yourdomain.com) to the Alvéya server IP address |
CNAME Record | www | Directs the www version of your domain (e.g. www.yourdomain.com) to your Alvéya site |
Log in to your domain host, navigate to the DNS settings for your domain, and add each record as follows.
Adding the A Record
Select A Record as the record type.
In the Host or Name field, enter @ to indicate the root domain. Some hosts fill this in automatically — if the field does not accept @ or shows an error that the hostname is unavailable, leave it blank and your host will apply it to the root domain automatically.
Paste the IP address provided by Alvéya into the Value or Points To field.
Save the record.
Adding the CNAME Record
Select CNAME as the record type.
In the Host or Name field, enter www.
Paste the value provided by Alvéya into the Value or Points To field.
Save the record.
⚠️ If your domain host already has an existing A record or CNAME record for these hostnames, you will need to delete the old ones first. Duplicate records will conflict and cause an error when saving. Remove the conflicting record, then add the new one.
💡 Not sure which existing record is conflicting? Look for any A record with @ as the host, or any CNAME record with www as the host. These are the ones to remove before adding the Alvéya versions.
Verifying the Connection in Alvéya
Once both DNS records are saved in your domain host, return to Alvéya and click Verify. DNS changes can take a few minutes to propagate, so if it does not verify immediately, wait a moment and try again.
When the verification is successful, Alvéya will confirm that your domain is connected and prompt you to link it to a product.
Linking Your Domain to a Product
After verification, choose what your domain should point to:
Sales funnel
Website
Store
Blog
Webinar
You will also have the option to set a 404 page — the page visitors will land on if they navigate to a URL that does not exist on your site. If you have already created a 404 page in Alvéya, you can select it from the list here. If not, you can come back and set this later.
Select the product you want your domain to point to.
Set the homepage — the page visitors will land on when they go to your domain directly.
Click Proceed to Finish.
Your domain will now appear under External Domains in your Alvéya settings.
💡 To make changes to your domain connection later — such as updating which product it points to or adjusting the homepage — go back to the Domains settings area, find your domain, and click Manage Records.
