Show/Hide Carrier Names on BOLs

This update enhances the Document Configuration section, allowing users to customize Bill of Lading (BOL) documents by either including or removing the carrier’s name. Users can also generate a BOL without assigning a carrier to the load if needed.

Updated over 5 months ago

Overview

The Document Configuration section has replaced what was previously called Important Information. This new configuration panel includes the option to hide carrier names on BOLs—a setting we created to give users greater control over document presentation. You’ll find this new Remove Carrier Name checkbox directly within the Document Configuration menu, and it’s set to “off” by default. When the checkbox is unchecked, the carrier’s name and phone number will be shown on the BOL as usual. If you enable it, those details will be hidden, giving you a cleaner BOL if you don’t need to display the carrier information.

How To:

  1. Access Document Configuration within Management
Here, you can configure the new BOL options.

  2. Enable/Disable the "Remove Carrier Name" Setting
Within the Bill of Lading editing window, look for the Remove Carrier Name checkbox. By default, this setting is disabled, meaning the carrier name and phone number will appear on the BOL.
To hide the carrier information, simply enable the checkbox.
