DocPilot is your AI assistant for single documents or a defined selection of documents. It knows the content in detail and answers your specific questions.
Open DocPilot
You can find DocPilot in the Navigation Rail (vertical toolbar) on the left side. Click the DocPilot icon to open the chat panel.
💡 You can switch anytime between DocPilot and CasePilot — either via the icons in the Navigation Rail or via the Speed-Dial (sparkle icon) next to the input field.
DocPilot is available to you in the case review right next to the PDF reader, so you can read documents and ask questions about them at the same time.
Detach panel
You can detach the DocPilot panel into a separate window.
Chat with a single document
When you have a document open in the PDF reader, DocPilot automatically refers to that document. Ask your question, and DocPilot will answer based on the content of the open document.
Chat with multiple documents
You can also use DocPilot with a selection of documents:
Open DocPilot
Drag and drop documents from the document list into the DocPilot chat area
Ask your question — DocPilot now refers to all added documents
⚠️ In multi-document mode, you can add up to 5 documents at the same time.
This way, you can specifically compare or summarize information from certain documents.
Example questions
"Summarize this document"
"What does this report say about work ability?"
"Explain the term [technical term]"
"Compare the diagnoses in these two documents"
Source references
Every answer includes inline source references — links embedded directly in the answer text that point to the relevant passages in the document. Click a source reference to jump directly to the corresponding section.
Conversation history
DocPilot remembers the context of your conversation. You can ask follow-up questions without having to explain the context again.
Your past conversations appear on the start screen, grouped by date. Click a previous conversation to reload and continue it — even across sessions.
Customize answers
As with CasePilot, you can customize the format, audience, and language of the answer in DocPilot — directly in your question or via the settings at the bottom of the chat panel. Detailed descriptions are available in the article AI assistants: CasePilot.
Translate document
You can ask DocPilot to translate the content of a document. Open the desired document, select the output language, and write, for example, "Translate this document".
⚠️ Translation works best with shorter documents (about 1–2 pages of text).
The output is in text format and may differ from the original document’s layout.
