Replacement of RESALE memberships - PARENT ORGANIZATION

FUNCTION:

This feature allows re-seller organizations to substitute one resale membership for another. Activate replacement on resale memberships when you want to enable this functionality for your reseller organizations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • This replacement feature is only available for reseller organizations

  • This feature cannot be used by the parent organization

  • For each eligible resale membership, you must activate replacement

  • For each eligible resale membership, you must decide on the restrictions

  • Reseller organizations will only be able to replace resale memberships based on the criteria and restrictions the parent organization defines

ORIGINAL RESALE MEMBERSHIP:

Between PARENT organization and RESALE organization

  • Replacement will create a credit note (replacement) between the parent organization and the reseller organization to cancel the original membership

  • The amount of the credit note is based on the price that was established by the parent organization during the sale thereof

  • The participant will no longer be a member of the parent organization resale membership.

Between RESELLER organization and their CUSTOMER

  • Replacement will create a credit note (replacement) between the reseller organization and their customer

  • The amount of the credit note is based on the price that was established by the reseller organization during the sale thereof

  • The participant will no longer be a member of the resale membership

REPLACEMENT RESALE MEMBERSHIP:

Between PARENT organization and RESALE organization

  • Replacement will create an invoice (replacement) between the parent organization and the reseller organization for the new membership

  • The invoice amount is based on the price that was established by the parent organization during a resale membership purchase by a reseller organization

  • The participant will have the new parent organization resale membership 

Between RESELLER organization and their CUSTOMER

  • Replacement will create an invoice (replacement) between the reseller organization and the customer to bill their client

  • The invoice amount is based on the price that was established by the resale organization during a resale membership purchase made by a customer

  • The participant will have the new resale membership 

When PARENT ORGANIZATION uses replacement

The parent organization cannot use replacement for resale memberships that are available for resale. However, the parent organization can replace memberships that are not eligible for resale. ENABLE THE REPLACEMENT ON A RESALE MEMBERSHIP

EXISTING RESALE MEMBERSHIP:

  • MEMBERSHIP tab

  • Click on EDIT on the desired resale membership

NEW RESALE MEMBERSHIP:

  • Click on NEW MEMBERSHIP

  • In the REPLACEMENT section, select either:

  • Enable
     (resale membership can be replaced by any other resale membership)

  • Enable with restrictions
    ​ 
    (select which resale membership are eligible to replace this resale membership)

If you choose with restrictions, you will have the following selection options in the OPERATION menu:

  • Select all

  • Select none

  • Select all memberships with a greater price than this membership.

SAVE.
