In order for a student to complete the Dyslexia Screener (as well as a Benchmark assessment for each testing window and each Progress Monitoring passage), the screener (or assessment) must be manually assigned. The assessment options are configured at the school or district level.

How to Assign the Dyslexia Screener

The Dyslexia Screener, Benchmark, and Progress Monitoring passages are assigned for students within the Tracking Report. To learn more about the tracking report, please visit the How do I use the Tracking Report? article found here.

NOTE: The entire screener/assessment is assigned at one time depending on the district's configuration.

1. From the Teacher Portal, click Reports

2. Click TRACKING REPORT

3. Select class from the drop-down, if needed

4. Click student name(s) or Select All

5. Click Assign [ ] assessments

NOTE: If an assessment is accidentally assigned, you can unassign a student by clicking on the three horizontal dots next to the student's name and selecting "Unassign Assessment".

NOTE: The staff member always has the option to make a judgement call to reassess by re-assigning the screener. Follow the above steps to re-assign the Dyslexia Screener.
