Close Multiple Tabs
ClassLink may open multiple tabs. Close all additional tabs.
Force an iPad Restart
If the iPad is not responding, following steps within the Force restart iPad information which is also listed below:
On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Double-check that the Latest iOS Version has Been Installed
Amira performs best on an iPad with iOS 13 or higher. To install, make sure the iPad is plugged in and connected to the Internet. Then, follow these steps:
Go to Settings > General > Software Update
Tap Download and Install

Clear History or Enable Private Browsing
Safari is the only browser compatible with Amira on an iPad. Make sure the Safari browser is being used.
Select the Settings icon on the home screen
Find Safari within the menu options along the left side of the screen
Select Clear History and Website Data > Clear
If you prefer not to clear the iPad's history and website data, a private window within Safari could be used
Tap the new page button
Tap Private, then tap Done.
Always Allow the Microphone
To avoid access issues, we encourage you to enable the Safari browser to Always Allow use of the microphone. On iPads with iOS 13 or higher, adjust the System Preferences to recognize the device’s internal microphone.
Scroll down to Settings for Websites and tap Microphone
Choose Allow to allow the use of the microphone without permission every time you visit a website

Disable Pop-Up Blockers
Amira will open from HMH Ed in a new tab in Safari, so disabling the Safari pop-up blocker is essential.
Tap Settings
Tap Safari
Toggle Block Pop-ups to off

Disable Auto-Lock
Amira Practice has infrequent prompts for students to interact with the screen. As a result, the iPad may "go to sleep" if the auto-lock settings are not adjusted. To adjust the auto-lock timing,
Go to Settings
Find Display & Brightness in the left navigation bar
Tap Auto-Lock
Choose Never
Turn Off Siri
To turn off Siri in Safari:
Go to Settings
Tap Safari
Tap Siri & Search
