1. Which fragrances does the new Library collection include?

The Library Collection is a curated collection which includes Opus V Woods Symphony, Opus VII Reckless Leather, Opus XII Rose Incense and Opus XIII Silver Oud.

2. Have the fragrances been reformulated?

There has been no change to the original fragrances, only synchronizing the names and the upgraded packaging to a contemporary and heightened look and feel.

3. Why did you choose to alter an existing collection?

We believe that innovation is not always about creating new fragrances but finding new ways to reimagine what is already there, and these are timeless masterpieces that have been given a contemporary touch. The Library Collection is treasured by many of our clients and the new names now have an element of their ingredients and stories which will make it easier for them to differentiate as well as having a modern new packaging in line with the new direction of the House’s identity.

4. What about the other fragrances from the original Library Collection? Where can I buy the fragrances from the original Library Collection?

The other historic Opuses will remain available for sale through the Amouage Archives on Amouage.com and selected Amouage boutiques, while supplies last.

5. Are there Women’s and Men’s versions?

The Library Collection is not gendered, each perfume is equally appealing for men and for women.

6. Why is the new collection only in Men’s bottles?

Although we have housed them in what has historically been a dedicated bottle, we actually wanted to give them a genderless feel and a contemporary and luxurious aesthetic that will appeal to a broader clientele. Our iconic khanjar-inspired bottles are a testament to our roots and the renewed focus on Omani heritage and excellence. We have also given them an organic ceramic finish, in earthy Truffle and Cashmere colours, a true reflection of the craft and authenticity of the Sultanate.

7. Will the Library Collection be limited to 4 perfumes?
Will there be any more fragrances added to the collection?

We are expanding the Amouage Offering by making the Library Collection more broadly available around the world, starting with 4 iconic perfumes. We continuously assess our portfolio, and future Opuses could join the collection as Renaud Salmon’s olfactory explorations unfold, when a raw material or accord has been pushed to its expressive paroxysm. We may also bring back former icons within the Opuses.

9. Will there be a change in price due to the new packaging?

The Library Collection is priced in line with the rest of the Amouage lineup, with the exception of Silver Oud.

Opus VII - Reckless Leather

Aging: Maturation: 2 weeks | Maceration: 4 weeks.

Opus XII - Rose Incense

This is not an easy question to answer as the library collection fragrances were created to be unique, complex creations that do not really have an equivalent with our other fragrances. Having said that here are some suggestions for you to try:
