File Variants
File variants refer to the different formats & sizes created when new image or video files are uploaded. This guide will walk you through the process of finding and accessing file variants in Amplifi.
Understanding File Variants:
Types of Variants: A single file in Amplifi can have multiple variants, including different file types (e.g., JPG, PNG, WebP) and sizes (e.g., large, medium, small).
To access file variants, start by searching for the desired file. Click on the "View" button (represented by a magnifying glass with a plus sign) to navigate to the file details page.
On the file details page, scroll down and locate the "Variants" section on the left-hand side. Here, you'll find a list of available variants for the selected file.
Each variant is listed with its corresponding file type and size. You can click on the “Open Link” button to access the file directly, or you can copy and share the CDN link provided with the “Copy Link” button.
Viewing Video Variants:
Accessing Video Variants: After selecting a video file, navigate to the file details page using the "View" button. Similar to image variants, scroll down to the "Variants" section to explore available video variants.
Types of Video Variants: Video variants typically include a MP4 file and a JPEG image preview. You can click on the “Open Link” button to access the file directly, or you can copy and share the CDN link provided with the “Copy Link” button.
