Channel Templates Overview

Are you ready to optimize your data management process in Amplifi? Uploading and mapping channel templates can significantly streamline your workflow. In this step-by-step guide, we'll walk you through the process of uploading a channel template and mapping attributes and image stacks for seamless integration.

Prepare Your Channel Template

Before you begin, ensure that you have your channel template ready.

Navigate to Channel Template Settings

  1. Log in to your Amplifi account and navigate to the “Admin” section.

  2. Select “Systems” then "System Settings" from the menu.

  3. Click on the "Channels" tab.

  4. (Create a new Channel by selecting “Create Channel”, toggling to “Custom Channel”, then naming the channel as you see fit.)

Upload Your Template

  1. Click on the "Upload Template" button (from within the Channels tab, see above).

  2. Provide a name for your new template.

  3. Ensure all regions are selected to maximize data utilization.

  4. Drag and drop your template file into the designated area.

  5. Choose the appropriate worksheet and header row. (If you have issues later on, try going back to delete any excess header rows then re-uploading)

Mapping Attributes

  1. Locate your uploaded template and click on the three dots next to it.

  2. Select "Edit" from the dropdown menu.

  3. (Optional from this page: Rename your template and adjust permissions if needed)

  4. Click on the three dots next to the attribute field on the far right hand side.

  5. Choose "Map an Attribute" and search for the desired attribute to link it to your template.

  6. Save and Close when you are finished.

Mapping Image Stacks

  1. Repeat the process for mapping attributes until step 4, then select "Map an Image Stack Position".

  2. Specify the size of the image output required for the channel template.

  3. Save and Close when you are finished.

Using your Channel Template

  1. From the main page, find and select the Collection Folders you would like to export.

  2. Click on "Batch Actions" > "Publish to Channel" then select the channel and channel template you would like to use. You will also be asked to designate the Image Stack you would like exported if applicable.

  3. Your channel template will be exported to your computer in the format you choose, ready for use!
