A Guide to Image Stacks in Amplifi

Image stacks in Amplifi offer a powerful way to organize and manage your digital assets efficiently. In this guide, we'll explore the various use cases for image stacks and walk you through the process of creating them manually or through import templates.

Understanding Image Stacks:

Image stacks serve multiple purposes, making them valuable assets for retailers and channel partners alike. Here are two common use cases:

  1. Retailer Requests: Retailers often require specific images in a particular order. With image stacks, you can export images with their corresponding CDN links in the desired sequence, making it easy for retailers to access and use them.

  2. Channel Templates: Image stacks are also useful for channel templates, where specific images need to be associated with different channels or platforms. Whether it's Amazon, Walmart, or other channels, image stacks ensure that the right images are selected and uploaded seamlessly.

Creating Image Stacks:

There are two ways to create image stacks in Amplifi: manually or through import templates.

  1. Manual Creation:

    • Navigate to the Image Stack Settings: Access the image stack settings under "Admin" > "System" > "System Settings" > "System" > "Image Stack Group".

    • Create a New Image Stack: Click on "Create New" and provide a name for your image stack. Save your changes.

    • Assigning Images: Go to a collection folder containing the images you want to include in your stack. Switch to the "Image Stacks" view from within the Images tab, and select the image stack you want to add to the collection folder. Then you can navigate back to the Images view, select the images you would like in your stack, then click on "Add to Stack". Save your changes.

  2. Using Import Templates:

    • Access the Image Stack Import Template: Use the provided import template to specify the collection folder, image stack group, file name, and image stack order.

    • Fill Out the Template: Enter the relevant details for each image in the template, including their names and order. Please reach out to your Admin or Amplifi contact for a copy of a blank template.

    • Import the Template: Navigate through Admin > System> System Settings> Imports > then click the carrot dropdown next to the “New Data Import” button. Select “New Image Stack”, then upload the completed import template to your Amplifi instance to create image stacks in bulk.
