Overview of Exports

Exports play a crucial role in managing data efficiently within Amplifi. They allow administrators to generate spreadsheets containing extensive information stored within the system. They can contain various types of data, including PIM data, attributes, core data fields, and information about assets or CDN links. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of creating custom exports and explore how they can streamline your workflow.

Creating a Custom Export

  1. Access Export Mapping: Navigate to the admin section and select "System Settings." Then, click on "Export Mapping" to access the export mapping templates.

  2. Create a New Template: Click on the option to create a new template. Give your template a descriptive name to easily identify it.

  3. Select Roles and Regions: Choose the roles and regions that should have access to the export. This determines the permission settings for the export file.

  4. Choose Core Data Fields: Select the core data fields that you want to include in the export. You can customize the column headers to match your preferences.

  5. Add Attributes (Optional): Include additional attributes in the export to provide more detailed information. You can add as many attributes as needed to fulfill your requirements.

  6. Add Media (Optional): Decide which media details should be included in the export, such as file names, CDN links, or file metadata. Remember to adjust the settings according to your preferences.

  7. Save and Close: Once you've configured the export settings, save your template. Your custom export is now ready to use.

Exporting Data

  1. Select Products: Choose the products or data sets that you want to export. You can select multiple items at once for batch processing.

  2. Initiate Export: Access the batch actions menu and choose the "Export" option. Select your custom export template from the list.

  3. Choose File Format: Specify the desired file format for the export, such as CSV or Excel. Choose the format that best suits your needs.

  4. Upload and Import: Upload the exported file to complete the process. Once imported, you'll have access to a spreadsheet containing all the relevant data.
