Damage Icons
Damage icon is a small picture that represents a type of services required for repairing a damage.
Note Damage icons are shown on the device when technicians specify damage locations during visual inspection.
To change the name of a damage icon, click Edit next to the appropriate damage icon, type a new name in the Damage Icon dialog box, and click OK.
Tip Use short names or abbreviations for damage icons because there is usually not much space for the damage icon name on the device screen.
Damage Sizes
Damage size is a price matrix dimension that specifies the approximate diameter of dents on a vehicle part.
To add a damage size, click Add on the Damage Sizes toolbar, enter settings in the Damage Size dialog box, and click OK.
To modify an existing damage size, click Edit next to the appropriate damage size, change settings, and click OK.
To delete an existing damage size, click Delete next to the appropriate damage size, and click OK in the message box.
To sort damage sizes, click Up or Down next to the appropriate damage size (for setting their order in the Available Damage Sizes box on the Damage Sizes tab of a price matrix that you create or edit).
Tip Usually coin names, such as dime, nickel, and quarter are used as damage size names.
Damage Severities
Damage severity is a price matrix dimension that specifies the approximate quantity of dents on a vehicle part.
To add a damage severity, click Add on the Damage Severities toolbar, enter settings in the Damage Severity dialog box, and click OK.
To modify an existing damage severity, click Edit next to the appropriate damage severity, change settings in the Damage Severity dialog box, and click OK.
To delete an existing damage severity, click Delete next to the appropriate damage severity, and click OK in the message box.
Tip If you want damage severity thresholds to be shown on inspection printouts you should add them to the damage severity name, for example, VERY LIGHT 1-5.
