File type categories in your library
Every item in your library is assigned a file type, visible as a column in the library table. You can filter by file type to find specific content:
Document: Uploaded PDFs, Word files, presentations, spreadsheets, and other text-based documents.
Note: Notes you have created in Anara's editor.
Image: Uploaded image files.
Audio: Uploaded audio files.
Video: Uploaded video files and imported YouTube videos.
Website: Web pages saved via URL import or the Anara Clipper extension.
Cards: Flashcard decks generated from your documents.
Full text statuses
After a file is processed, the Full text column shows one of these statuses:
Available: Full text extracted successfully. The AI can read the entire document and answer questions about its content.
Abstract only: Only the abstract was retrieved. Typically happens with paywalled papers imported by URL or DOI. To get full text, download the PDF and upload it directly.
Content unavailable: Neither full text nor abstract could be retrieved. Usually a paywall issue.
