Notion is where a lot of research thinking happens β literature notes, reading logs, experiment trackers, project plans. Connecting Notion to Anara brings those pages into your AI workspace, so you can ask questions across your Notion knowledge base alongside your papers and documents.
Tip: Plan required: Notion integration requires a Pro plan or higher. See plans.
How to connect Notion
Go to Settings > Connectors.
Find Notion and click Connect.
A Notion authorization window will open. Sign in and select which pages or workspaces Anara can access.
Confirm the selection. You'll return to Anara with Notion showing as connected.
What gets imported
Anara imports the text content of the Notion pages and databases you granted access to. Page text, database entries, and subpages are all brought in and indexed for search.
Think of it as adding your Notion workspace as a searchable knowledge base inside Anara β everything you've written there becomes queryable with AI.
Using Notion in chat
After connecting, type @ in the chat input and select Notion from the Sources list. The AI searches your imported Notion content when generating its response.
Tip: Combine @Notion with @Library to ask questions that draw on both your Notion notes and your uploaded research papers at the same time.
If Notion isn't importing
Missing pages after sync? Anara can only access pages you explicitly granted access to during authorization. Disconnect and reconnect, selecting additional pages in the Notion authorization flow.
Connection shows as disconnected? OAuth tokens can expire. Reconnect from Settings > Connectors.
Content not appearing? Heavily nested pages or large databases may take a few minutes to process. Check back shortly.
