A guide for users connecting their NVR/DVR to Angelcam through regular port forwarding. It will show you how to get the stream from all your channels.
This article follows up on the general article about NVR/DVR connection. Please make sure to read that article first to ensure that your device is compatible.
Please follow these steps:
Enter the public IP or DDNS hostname into our camera connector as you would with a regular camera. Remember to include any necessary info, such as a specific streaming port or the username and password if your device requires it.
Add the detected camera to your account
Navigate to a "manage camera" page and look for a "camera address."
Copy the address to your clipboard.
Paste the copied address into the new camera’s network address field, edit the channel number, and submit (in this case, “201” is the number representing the second camera, primary stream)
Once submitted, the stream should be detected without any issues. You'll then be asked to select a camera name and be able to add it to your account.
Repeat the process with the additional cameras you want to connect.
NOTES & TIPS
Each channel will be handled as a separate camera even though the stream is coming from one device.
If your device won't be found, consider Reading more about RTSP addresses and how to find them for NVRs/DVRs. You can usually get this info from your dealer or device manufacturer. You can follow this guide about finding a stream path, or feel free to contact us should you get stuck at this point.
