Can I import or export calendars with Google Calendar or iCal?

Learn how to import your Google Calendar into AnnuCal and keep it up to date automatically.

Yes - you can import your Google Calendar into AnnuCal.

Your Google events appear laid out across the full year in AnnuCal and are kept up to date automatically.

How to connect your Google Calendar

  1. In AnnuCal, open the calendar menu and choose Google Calendar Import.

  2. Open your Google Calendar settings (or in Google Calendar: gear icon top right → Settings).

  3. In the left sidebar under "Settings for my calendars", click the calendar you want to import.

  4. Click "Integrate calendar".

  5. Copy the "Secret address in iCal format" - it's the last field, not the public one. It shows dots, so use the copy icon next to it.

  6. Paste the link into AnnuCal, give the calendar a name, and click Connect calendar.

Good to know

  • The import is read-only and one-way: AnnuCal only reads your Google events. Nothing is written back to Google.

  • Your imported events refresh automatically - you don't need to re-import.

  • The secret address is private. Treat it like a password and don't share it with anyone.

  • You can import several Google calendars this way, each as its own calendar in AnnuCal.

What about export, iCal, and other calendar apps?

A deeper Google Calendar integration and support for other calendar apps are in the works. We'll share details here as soon as they're available.
