How do I connect my device to WI-FI?

Can't get your device to connect? Just follow these steps to get you set up!

Step 1: Make sure WI-FI is enabled on your phone.

Step 2: After opening our app, you will be taken to our default screen shown here. Simply tap on “Connect Anova” located on the blue bar on the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Next you will be prompted to answer if the current and set temperatures are correct. If they are, tap yes. If they’re not, tap no.

Step 4: After you confirm that the display is correct, you will start the process to connect your device t0 your phone. Make sure that you read the steps carefully. In order to connect your device you will have to:

  • Make sure your device is within 5 feet/ 1.5 meters of your router

  • Make sure that you are connected to a 2.4GHz network- not 5GHz

  • Make sure your password is 6 or more characters in length and that they don't have any special characters in your password(,(%^&.?/+=_-*$#@!~`{}[])

Step 5: Once your device connects you will be taken back to our default recipes page. Your device is now connected to your app! You can tell that you are connected because the bar below is green and says “Start ANOVA”. From here you can search through our delicious recipes or scan through the cooking guide. Once you find a recipe you like just tap the play button and the device will start preheating the water. For more information about how to use the app just click here.
