Oftentimes the device comes calibrated to Celsius settings. This will show as having a maximum temperature of 99°C. You can convert the device measurements to Fahrenheit by simply pressing and holding the PLAY icon on the device for 3 seconds. Once the device beeps, you can stop holding the play icon.
