Create a virtual try-on follow-up flow in Antla

How to choose the audience, email type, timing, and subscriber-list behavior before testing and activating a flow.

Written by Aaron From Antla

Use Antla’s flow builder to decide which try-ons qualify, what personalized content Antla should prepare, when the follow-up should occur, and whether shoppers should be added to a Klaviyo list.

Create the flow

  1. In Antla, open Integrations → Klaviyo.

  2. Select Create flow.

  3. Give the flow a clear name, such as Virtual try-on follow-up.

  4. Configure the five cards in order: Trigger, Audience, Send email, Timing, and Email list.

1. Review the trigger

The trigger is Virtual try-on completed. It fires when an eligible, logged-in customer finishes trying on a product.

The trigger card also shows the three built-in requirements:

  • logged-in customer;

  • consented to outfit imagery; and

  • subscribed to Klaviyo marketing.

2. Choose the audience

The audience controls which tried-on products can start this particular flow. Choose one of the following:

  • A specific product — target one product.

  • Collections — include one or more collections.

  • Multiple products — hand-pick several products.

  • All products — allow every product in the store.

  • Products with a tag — match products by a Shopify tag.

Audience choices in the Antla flow builder

The product the shopper just tried on determines which flow qualifies. For a campaign-specific flow, a product tag such as antla-klaviyo-follow-up can be easier to maintain than selecting individual products.

3. Choose what the shopper receives

Select one of three email content types:

  • Their photo — Show them their try-on. Sends the exact generated look the shopper just created.

  • 1 recommendation — Recommend a new look. Generates one new outfit on the same base photo.

  • Multiple — Recommend a set of looks. Generates several recommended products on the same base photo.

Email content types available in Antla

Choose the option that matches the purpose of the flow. For example:

  • use Their photo for an abandoned virtual try-on reminder;

  • use 1 recommendation for a focused cross-sell; or

  • use Multiple for a personalized style-edit email.

4. Set the timing

Choose when the email should enter the flow:

  • Send immediately sends it as soon as the shopper finishes the try-on.

  • Send later waits for the delay you specify.

Use an immediate send when the experience should continue while the try-on is fresh. Use a delay when you want the message to behave more like an abandoned-cart reminder or to leave room for a purchase first.

You can also add or change delays later in Klaviyo.

5. Decide whether to add shoppers to a list

Turn on Add shoppers to a Klaviyo list if you want people who enter the flow to be grouped for future segmentation and re-engagement.

The list selected under Integrations → Klaviyo → List configuration is the target list used for new subscribers.

Test and activate the flow

After all required cards are configured:

  1. Select Test email and review the content using a representative Antla event.

  2. Check the generated image, product title, product link, pricing, and any discount block.

  3. Select Set live when the trigger, audience, timing, and content are ready.

  4. Open Klaviyo and confirm that the matching flow appears.

  5. Confirm that both the flow and its message have the intended live or manual status.

Dynamic Antla content may not appear completely in Klaviyo’s generic preview. A test event produced by Antla is the most reliable way to validate event-backed fields.
