In addition to the mobile app, ANVL can be accessed directly through a web browser. This option is ideal for fixed facilities, shared workstations, kiosks, and desktop-based users.
Most functionality mirrors the mobile experience, with a few key differences noted below.
Answer
You can launch and complete ANVL workflows through a supported web browser using Single Sign-On (SSO). The browser version provides the same workflows, assignments, concerns, and Vault access as mobile, optimized for larger screens.
Steps
Access ANVL in a Browser
Users can launch ANVL from one of the following:
Log in to Benchmark Gensuite and select ANVL Workflows from the My Home page.
Open the Apps menu and search for ANVL Workflows.
Navigate directly to workflows.anvl.com
ANVL opens in a new browser tab and automatically signs users in (SSO supported).
Note: ANVL Insights (Manager Dashboard) is a separate experience and covered in other training.
Browser Navigation
Instead of mobile tiles, the browser version uses a left-side navigation panel:
Workflows – Start and complete procedures
Assignments – View required and recurring workflows
My ANVL Dashboard – Log and track concerns
Vault – Access reference documents and content
Support – Help Center and support resources
The expanded layout uses more screen space, making it well suited for desktops and kiosks.
Workflows in the Browser
Workflows function the same as on mobile:
Step-by-step guided experience
Dynamic questions and conditional logic
Fully customizable per organization
Time- and date-stamped responses
Workflow availability is dynamic and depends on:
User permissions
Site or location selection
Organizational configuration
Incident & Data Capture
The browser experience supports:
Text-based responses
Dropdowns and classifications
File and photo uploads (from device)
Conditional follow-up questions
Since browsers cannot take photos directly, users upload images instead of capturing them live.
Incident Management Integration
Workflows completed in the browser (such as First Reports of Incident) automatically create records in Benchmark Gensuite Incident Management.
This allows EHS and operations leaders to:
Review incident details immediately
Add photos, investigations, and corrective actions
Continue follow-up without re-entering data
Key Differences: Browser vs. Mobile
Feature | Browser | Mobile |
Offline support | ❌ No | ✅ Yes |
Photo capture | Upload only | Live capture |
Best for | Fixed locations, kiosks | Field & mobile work |
Additional Details
The browser experience is optimized for larger screens and shared environments while maintaining the same workflow logic and system integrations as the mobile app.
