You are able to search and import existing customer profile details into the applicant section of your Loanapp applications with the Customer Search feature, leveraging ANZ's OCV (One Customer View) platform.
When creating a new Loanapp application, you will first complete the Setup; and then you will want to add your applicants. The new customer search will trigger when you click the ADD button in the Applicants section:
A new popup will appear, allowing you to search for your Applicant via a number of different methods:
Searching via Account Number
Where you are searching via your Applicant account number, you will select the Account Number toggle, and then add the account number in the field. This method can be used for a Customer that has a Loan or Deposit Account with ANZ.
Searching via Customer Number
Where you are searching via your Applicant Customer number, you will select the Customer Number toggle, and then add the Customer number in the field.
This method can be used for a Customer that has any type of Account with ANZ (including Credit Cards).
Searching via Customer Details
Where you are searching via your Applicant Customer details, you will search via their name and contact details:
Successful Customer Match
When you have entered your details, they will be checked against OCV, and you will be returned details of your Applicants to review and confirm:
You may get more than one result. You will be able to click on the customers listed, which will take you to a new screen and allow you to see more details to determine if this is the correct customer for your application.
If you then select "Import Data", the applicant and their available details will be populated in your Loanapp record:
Your Applicant will be created and you will note that the details such as Customer number, Name, Current Residential Address, Contact details, and current Employment details, where available, will be populated into your application:
Checking imported data
The amount of data that can populate will vary. Please review the following when importing customer records:
Employment Records
Temporary Employment maps to Casual in Loanapp: Temporary employment type is not available in ANZ systems and maps to Loanapp as Casual Employment. Review and amend where Temporary Employment applies.
Blank employment basis data (Full Time, Part Time, Casual etc) will map as Full Time. Review and amend to the accurate employment status.
"No employment records found" is returned in the search where:
the Customer record is missing data for Employer Name, Self Employed indicator or Occupation Code
for Occupation Codes of Student, Retired, Home Duties or Unemployed
Where employment records are not imported, review and complete this section in Loanapp.
Fields which cannot be updated in Loanapp when importing customer records are the Customer Number, and "does the applicant have a customer number".
What if no matching Applicant results are found?
If you try all the available search options and cannot find your Applicant, they will likely not be an existing ANZ customer. In this circumstance, you will get a negative result; and be able to "Add new applicant":
This will then popup the regular Add Applicant control for you to add your Applicants to the record:
This creates a new record in Loanapp, and only once successfully submitted to ANZ, this will also create a new customer record in ANZ systems.
Complete the first and last name of the applicants and for customers with a single name, use the surname field only.
You will note as you add applicants, they will also be added to the side panel menu, which allows for easy navigation to each applicant's data sections.
When adding a new applicant to a Loanapp application, the Customer Number populates once the following is complete for all new parties in the Applicants section, and you navigate to a different section of the application workflow:
Marital status
Customer name
Gender
Date of birth
Email address
Mobile phone number
Current residential address
Current housing status
Current address since
Mailing address
Post settlement housing
Does the applicant have a Customer number?
Allow credit check
ANZ's OCV will first check for existing customer records before creating a new customer record.
The following data from Loanapp is reviewed and where ANZ's OCV finds an existing customer record that matches the new applicant details it populates this customer number to Loanapp:
Marital status
Customer name (last name is mandatory)
Gender
Date of birth
Email address
Mobile phone number
Current residential address
Current housing status
Current address since
New customer records containing non-standard addresses and application is unsubmitted
Non-standard addresses (including Australian and international addresses) do not map accurately to ANZ systems for new customer records created in Loanapp via OCV which:
contain a non-standard address (added via "Add other address" option) and,
application is unsubmitted
If adding the same customer to a new application, search using Customer Number option to locate the existing customer record. Alternatively, copy the existing application with correct customer details.
Where using Customer Details to perform a customer search, do not include the Full residential address in the search criteria, as no match will be found.
Where applications are submitted, ANZ systems will contain accurate non-standard address details.
Copying applications, uploading eMOS files and for applications in progress prior to 21 September
Customer details will remain static, and Customer Search does not apply for existing applicants
If updates have been made to their ANZ customer profile,. this will not be reflected in the application
the customer number remains blank.
From Sept 21, if adding additional applicants to these types of applications, and they are existing ANZ customers, the Customer Search feature can be used to search for and import the latest customer data for the new applicant.
