Creating a rate-table is essential to providing your customers with a great customer experience. The rate-table tells your customer how long it will take to ship from your warehouse to their location. When you build out your first rate table, you will be required to select a transit time to all “lower 48” states. You will also be required to input a cut-off time, as well as your cut-off time zone. APFusion will use this information and display a guaranteed shipping date to your customer.

  1. Navigate to Profile --> Fulfillment Settings (Profile can be found in the top-left hand corner of the page).

  2. Click the blue plus button

You have the ability to choose from three potential rate table options.

Option 1: Free Shipping - any order that has Free Shipping as the selected shipping option will be shipped with a cost of $0.00.

Option 2: Economy Shipping - this rate table allows you to select a shipping cost per zone, and will be displayed to your customer as an economy shipping method with the cost that you as the vendor have defined.

Option 3: Expedited Shipping - APFusion customers expect to see an expedited shipping method option when placing an order through the application. This rate table is limited to a maximum two-day transit time. You also have the ability to define a shipping cost per shipment zone.

Zones Explained

A delivery zone is a set of states that all can be delivered within the same time period. A delivery zone is made up of a collection of selected states.

  1. Define the rate table name

  2. Select one of the three rate table options

  3. Confirm the Fulfillment Node

  4. “Linked From” can be left blank

  5. Define an order cutoff time & cutoff timezone

  6. Click “Continue”

  7. Click the “+” sign and create your first shipment zone

  8. Define the handling & transit time in business days

**To remove a shipment zone at any time, click the red trashcan in the top right-hand corner of the “Delivery Zone”

  9. Click “Add Destination”

  10. Select the collection of states that make up your shipment zone and click “Save”

  11. Once you have defined all of your delivery zones, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save and Continue”

**Note: After you have created your first rate table, you can add the other rate-table options underneath that stock location.

For example, if you added the “Free Shipping” rate table to “Stock Location X” you can add “Economy Shipping” and “Expedited Shipping” rate tables to that stock location as well.

Now that you have created your first rate table, you can now add inventory to that stock location for a specific product. View this article to learn more.
