The Administration Dashboard is where you configure and manage your API Portal.
Main Dashboard
The main Administration Dashboard comprises of the following elements:
Sidebar - A menu where you can access the main functions of the dashboard.
Settings - Opens up the Organization and Portal settings view.
Portal Selector - Switch between your API Portals.
Portal Link - Shows the current portal link.
Group - Switch between your organization's groups (Enterprise only.)
Profile - Access the profile menu.
Help - Click here to get help and ask questions.
Settings
Settings are split between Portal and your Organization settings.
Portal Settings
These settings are available for the portal that is currently selected on the main dashboard page:
Portal Details - This section is your hub for managing the general settings of your API Portal. From here, you can customize various aspects to tailor the portal to your specific needs.
Marketing - In this section, you'll discover tools and strategies to increase your portal's discoverability through targeted marketing efforts. Explore resources designed to elevate your portal's online presence, attract a wider audience, and effectively promote your APIs to potential users.
Domains - Make it easier for your customers to find you by adding a custom domain name.
Security - Secure your API portal so that only your intended audience can get access to it.
Organization Settings
Make changes to your organization:
Accounts & Permissions - The central hub for administering dashboard accounts and their associated permissions within your organization.
Groups - Efficiently organize your employee accounts into groups, empowering seamless collaboration and teamwork on their respective API Products whilst
Approval Groups - Ensure only those consumers you approve have access to your API product. Approval may be based on registration, subscription, or both (this is an enterprise-only feature).
Billing & Subscriptions - Manage your Apiable subscription and billing (Enterprise only feature).
Administration Dashboard Roles
Apiable offers by default the following roles within the dashboard:
Organisation Admin - This role is for the person who manages the organization, it allows full access to organization resources except for creating/deleting organizations.
Portal Admin - This role is for the person who manages the portal, it allows full access to portal resources.
Product Owner—This role is for the person who needs to manage products. It allows the creation, publication, and deletion of products.
Configuration Owner - This role is for the person who needs to configure gateways; it allows to create, modify, and delete gateways.
Member - This role only allows to read resources from the organization.
To add a new role to an existing account, navigate to Settings > Organization > Accounts & Permissions and click on the + (plus) symbol. A drop-down list will appear where you can modify the selected account's role.
