The AMP Shock is built to replace slip-on jazz shoes, sneakers, or any low-profile dance shoe. Dancers in AMP often shift their weight back onto the heel during movement, so we added traction to both the ball AND the heel to catch that weight transfer.
The Alpha, Performance, and Infinite Shocks place traction on the ball of the foot only, because dancers in those styles tend to keep weight forward over the balls of their feet.
Joule, K-Warmer, and Endurance don't include a traction option. Joule and K-Warmer have an exposed ball of the foot. Endurance is built for recovery and everyday wear where grip isn't the need.
Floor-safety note:
Floor and finish compatibility varies. Before using traction, E6000, rosin, or any cleaner on a studio floor, home floor, stage, or turning tool, confirm with the floor or tool manufacturer, your studio owner, or the facility manager. Always spot-test first in a hidden area and follow that surface's care instructions. Apolla cannot guarantee results on every surface and cannot take responsibility for floor or tool damage caused by unsupported cleaners, refreshers, failure to spot-test, or use outside our care guidance.
