What does "refreshable traction" mean?

refreshable traction, what is the grip?, how does the grip work

Customize Your Traction

What "refreshable traction" actually means:

"Refreshable" means you can restore the grip on your Apolla Shocks any time it wears down. Most traction socks on the market lose their grip over time and there's nothing you can do. Ours is built to be customized and maintained.

How it works:

- Your Shocks come with a patented adhesive grip layer on the bottom (US Patent 10,076,436).

- The grip wears in during break-in to your preferred level.

- When it gets too slippery for your needs, spray 5-10 pumps of E6000 Spray Adhesive (https://www.apollaperformance.com/products/e6000-spray-adhesive) on the grip area.

- Let it dry 10-20 seconds and you're back to full grip.

You control how sticky your grip is, on your floor, for your style. Refresh as often as you like.

Should you pick WITH traction at all?

Depends on your floor. See How do I decide between traction or non-traction? (https://intercom.help/apolla-performance-wear/en/articles/11853616-how-do-i-decide-between-traction-or-non-traction)

Floor-safety note:

Floor and finish compatibility varies. Before using traction, E6000, rosin, or any cleaner on a studio floor, home floor, stage, or turning tool, confirm with the floor or tool manufacturer, your studio owner, or the facility manager. Always spot-test first in a hidden area and follow that surface's care instructions. Apolla cannot guarantee results on every surface and cannot take responsibility for floor or tool damage caused by unsupported cleaners, refreshers, failure to spot-test, or use outside our care guidance.
