While we've always offered you the ability to assign statuses to applicants, we're now taking it one step further.
Now, your statuses will be grouped into Stages, giving you the ability to see a true pipeline of candidates and better catch any bottlenecks before they become an issue.
Efficiency is the name of the game. Rather than having to filter by multiple statuses on the Applicants page, the Stage Manager and Pipeline features take the guesswork out of finding all applicants currently in a particular stage of the hiring process.
Accessing the Stage Manager
*Note: Only Super Admins of the main "Parent" team in Apploi will have access to the Stage Manager. If you don't have this access, hop down to the Applicant Pipeline section of this article to see how you can view and filter by the feature.
Make sure you've navigated to your Parent team, then click your name in the top right. Click the Stage Manager menu option to begin editing:
Editing the Stage Manager
By default, we've created a few standard stages that will always be available and cannot be deleted from your pipeline. Those include the following: New, In Review, Interview, Offer, Hired, Unqualified, and are highlighted in grey:
While you cannot delete default stages, you can edit them by clicking the pencil icon to the right. Remember to click Save once you're done:
Each default stage will also include a set of default statuses. You can see them by clicking the arrow icon left of the stage name and expanding the section:
Creating Custom Statuses
You can create custom statuses for a stage by clicking the "+" to the right of the stage name. To rearrange your statuses within a stage, use the drag and drop functionality to the left of the status name:
Moving Custom Statuses to a Different Stage
To move a status into a different stage, click the arrows icon to the right of the status name. Select the stage that the status should be moved to. The status will be moved to the list with all others in the selected stage. Use the drag and drop functionality to rearrange the order of statuses if needed, and click Save:
Remember, only custom statuses you create can be moved to different stages. The default statuses in Apploi can't be deleted or moved to a different stage.
Creating Custom Stages
Custom stages can be created by clicking + New Stage in the top right. When you create a new stage, you'll also be prompted to add any appropriate statuses for that stage:
You can rearrange your custom stages by using the drag and drop functionality to the left of the stage name:
It's important to remember that any updates or changes to the Stage Manager will impact all the teams in your Apploi account. Make sure your stages and statuses are designed to support all users, not just those for a particular team.
Applicant Pipeline
You will see the applicant Pipeline whenever you navigate to the Applicants page. Here you will see a list of all stages for your account, and how many applicants are within each stage.
Hovering over a stage in the pipeline will show you each status included, as well as the total number of applicants for each:
Clicking on a stage in the pipeline will filter your list of applicants, showing only those that are included in the particular stage:
When you're ready to remove the filter, either click on the stage name again or click the "X" next to the Status column header.
