Running background checks with Accurate

With our partnership with Accurate, you can integrate screenings from Accurate into your workflow. Here's everything you need to know.

WHAT IS THIS

Accurate is a leading provider of healthcare screening solutions helping clients make quick, compliant, and informed hiring decisions to meet the demands of a highly complex and competitive healthcare labor market. Learn more here.

With our integration, you can use Accurate background checks as part of a seamless workflow. Implementing background checks into your hiring workflow in a single interface will help healthcare employers mitigate applicant loss during onboarding, reduce time-to-hire, and improve the candidate experience.

HOW TO GET STARTED

You first need to set up an account with Accurate. Your CSM or support staff can help guide you through the process.

Note: your packages (types of background checks) will be configured and selected on Accurate's side.

Once you are an Accurate customer, your Apploi CSM will need the following information:

  • Client ID (ex. Company_inc)

  • Client Secret (link)

  • Requestor email

  • Customer ID (5 digit number)

ONCE SET UP, HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Navigate to your candidate's page and hover over the applicant's status:

2. Click on it to pull down a menu of options, and update the status to 'Ready for Background Check.'

You will be automatically redirected to Accurate's website where you can add key information and select your background check package:

3. Click Send Invitation

CANDIDATE SIDE

The following section is for educational purposes only – just to see how simple and painless the process is on the candidate side – but you won't see any of this.

The candidate will automatically receive an email with a link, directing them to fill in their information on a page that looks like this:

They must consent to the background check:

The candidate fills out their information:

Then consent, sign, and submit.

ON YOUR SIDE

4. If you navigate back to the candidate's page, you'll see the status has been automatically updated to "Background check complete":

5. Scroll down to "Background Check" and click on the link to see the results.

And that's it! Automated, streamlined, and painless.

FAQ

Q: Do you select your preferred package each time?

A: Yes.

Q: Does this include Florida AHCA background screening?

A: No, that requires fingerprinting and can't be covered by an automated system.

Good to know:

  • Background check dropdown in Apploi is configured at the parent level.

  • While this is a great value-add to your workflow, it is not a bulletproof system! (Identity is a very difficult topic in the real world)

  • Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), in most states it is recommended that employers do not request a background check until an offer is on the table.
