WHAT IS WOTC?

The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a federal tax credit available to employers, rewarding them for every new hire who meets eligibility requirements. WOTC.com is an exclusive service brand of TC Services USA Inc.

The WOTC program not only creates a positive impact on the nation's unemployment levels, but also affords business owners the incredible opportunity to earn between $2,400 and $9,600 for each eligible new hire. Every year, employers claim over one billion dollars in tax credits under the WOTC program!

IMPORTANT NOTE ON TERMINOLOGY

  • WOTC is the federal tax credit program.

  • WOTC.com is our partner, the premier tax credit service designed to maximize work opportunity tax credits (WOTC).

HOW IT WORKS IN APPLOI

Applicants will be receive an email from Apploi directing them to WOTC.com to complete the IRS 8850 form. The applicant’s status will be display within Apploi to reflect whether they are

  • pre-qualified,

  • incomplete, or

  • not qualified

for tax credits.

Once the applicant's status is changed to ‘Hired’ in Apploi, this updated information will be sent to WOTC.com. You'll then see one of the following six statuses on the candidate's profile:

Pending

Candidate created in WOTC.com

Link Sent

Email link is sent to candidate

Incomplete

Candidate did not complete all steps in WOTC form

New

Candidate submitted the form

Pre-qualified

Candidate is pre-qualified for WOTC (most likely will receive tax credit)

Certified

Candidate is certified for WOTC. Candidate/Employee is now eligible to earn Tax Credits. Final issuance of the credit is determined by the first year total hours and wages.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A WOTC.COM CUSTOMER?

  1. Register and set up an account with WOTC.com by clicking here.

  2. Email your WOTC.com Partner Alliance Manager, Nicole Encalada, at nicole@tcsvc.com. Ask her for your lifetime access token.

  3. Reach out to your CSM. We'll need the following bits of information to get you set up:

    1. Lifetime access token

    2. Team IDs & EIN(s) (WOTC.com can handle multiple locations and EINs)

    3. We also want to customize the following for you, so have them ready:

      1. The applicant stage that will automatically trigger an account to be created in WOTC.com and send an email to the applicant, and

      2. Your preferred text for the automated emails to applicants

ALREADY A WOTC.COM CUSTOMER, AND WANT TO SET UP THE INTEGRATION?

  1. Email your WOTC.com Partner Alliance Manager, Nicole Encalada, at nicole@tcsvc.com. Ask her for your "lifetime access token."

  2. Reach out to your CSM. We'll need the following bits of information to get you set up:

    1. Lifetime access token

    2. Team IDs & EIN(s) (WOTC.com can handle multiple locations and EINs)

    3. We also want to customize the following for you, so have them ready:

      1. The applicant stage that will automatically trigger an account to be created in WOTC.com and send an email to the applicant, and

      2. Your preferred text for the automated emails to applicants

USING WOTC.COM INSIDE OF APPLOI

Once your team is set up, you will begin seeing the WOTC Check section for each candidate who has applied for the jobs of that team.

When the candidate moves to the configured trigger state (as per your preferred configuration), a parallel applicant will be created in you wotc.com account. The current up-to-date status of your applicant will be displayed under this section:
