Point Expiration Configuration & How It Works
Updated this week

The point expiration system is designed to encourage customer engagement by expiring points after a set period of inactivity which you can find by navigating to More -> Advanced Settings -> Point and Discount Expiration Settings -> Configure Point Expiration.

How It Works:

  • The expiration period is based on the customer's inactivity rather than a fixed date.

  • If a customer does not earn or redeem any points within the set time frame, their accumulated points will expire.

  • However, if the customer makes any qualifying activity (earns or redeems points) before the expiration period ends, the expiration counter resets, and their points remain valid.

Example Scenario:

  • Suppose you have set the expiration period to 1 month.

  • If a customer does not earn or redeem any points for an entire month, their points will expire.

  • However, if the customer earns or redeems points within that month, their expiration period resets, and the countdown starts again from the new activity date.

This setup ensures that customers who actively engage with your store retain their points, while inactive users gradually lose them after the specified period. Let us know if you need any adjustments!
