The Discount Expiration feature allows you to set a time limit on unused discounts, encouraging customers to redeem them within a specific period which you can find by navigating to More -> Advanced Settings -> Point and Discount Expiration Settings -> Configure Discount Expiration.
How It Works:
When enabled, discounts will automatically expire after the set period if they remain unused.
You can specify the expiration time limit and choose the unit (e.g., days, months, years).
This helps create urgency and encourages customers to take action before their discount is lost.
Example Scenario:
If you set the Expiry Discount Limit to 1 day, any discount issued but not used within 24 hours will expire.
If you enable the Return Points on Expired Unused Discount option, the points used to redeem that discount will be credited back to the customer's account once the discount expires. For this feature to work, you must also enable discount expiration.
This setup ensures better control over your discount strategy while maintaining customer engagement.
