New Shopify Flow Action: Add Points to Customers
We’ve introduced a new “Add Points” action in Shopify Flow to give merchants more flexibility in rewarding their customers.
Merchants can now use this action in two ways:
Without a Rule ID:
Perfect for creating custom flows — for example, awarding points when a customer completes a lesson or activity. This allows for dynamic, flexible points distribution without needing to tie it to a predefined rule.With a Rule ID:
Merchants can also create a static rule (such as “Completed Lesson 1”) and then use its Rule ID in the flow. This helps keep a proper record of the reward in the app’s “Activity” and “Rules” sections for easier tracking and reporting.
This update gives you more control and visibility while allowing customers to earn points through personalized, automated journeys.
