You do not need to enable a separate SMS integration in Appstle.
Your existing Email + Klaviyo integration will automatically handle SMS as well.

Once Klaviyo is connected, follow the steps below to activate SMS within your Klaviyo and Shopify setup.
✅ 1. Enable Text Messages in Klaviyo
Before SMS consent can sync from Shopify, you must enable SMS inside Klaviyo.

After SMS is enabled and your sending number is verified, you will see the Text Messages section appear in your Klaviyo dashboard.
✅ 2. Update Your Shopify + Klaviyo Integration
Once SMS is active, ensure that your Shopify integration is configured to sync SMS subscribers.
Go to:
Klaviyo → Integrations → Shopify
Make sure the setting “Sync your Shopify SMS subscribers to Klaviyo” is enabled.
This allows Shopify’s sms_consent collected at checkout to sync directly into Klaviyo.
✅ 3. Enable SMS Marketing Consent in Shopify Checkout
Shopify must display an SMS opt-in checkbox for customers who want to receive text messages.
To enable this:
Go to:
Shopify Admin → Settings → Checkout
Turn on the SMS marketing consent option.
Once enabled, customers will see a separate SMS opt-in checkbox during checkout.
They must check this box for their SMS subscription status to sync into Klaviyo.
📩 What Customers Will Receive After Placing an Order
Once everything is enabled, SMS consent collection begins automatically.
As soon as a customer places an order, they will receive an SMS from Klaviyo asking them to confirm their opt-in for SMS marketing.
If the customer replies “Yes”, they will be fully subscribed to SMS marketing and will begin receiving text message updates about their subscriptions.

✅ 4. Set Up SMS Flows in Klaviyo
With SMS enabled and consent syncing correctly, your setup is complete.
Once everything is ready, you need to create SMS flows in Klaviyo for all Appstle events that you want to send as SMS to your subscribers.
Example: Subscription Created Event Flow
You can create similar flows for other events, such as:
Subscription Cancelled
Subscription Paused
Subscription Renewed
This ensures your customers receive timely SMS updates about their subscriptions automatically.
