With our delivery validation feature, you can check whether a customer is eligible for delivery. Depending on the postcode entered in the widget, a matching delivery location will be selected.
Exact postal code matching checks the postcode the customer enters against the list you've added to each location's settings. The postcode must match exactly — no partial or fuzzy matches.
💡 Tip: This method works best when you deliver to a small list of postcodes. If your eligible list runs long, try partial matching or advanced postal code match instead — see our Delivery validation article for the full comparison.
⚠️ Important: Postcodes can't overlap between locations. Each location must have a unique set of postcodes.
To set up exact postal code matching, follow the written steps below.
Enable exact postal code matching
Click Settings, then Local Delivery.
In the Distance validation section, select Exact postal code match.
Click Save.
The validation method is set. Next, add eligible postcodes to every location that offers delivery.
Add postal codes to a location
Click Locations.
Select the location you want to edit.
In the Local delivery section, click Edit settings.
In the Distance validation field, enter your exact eligible postcodes, separated by commas.
Click Save.
💡 Tip: Repeat for every location that offers local delivery — and double-check that no postcode appears in more than one location's list.
