🧩 What is Volume Discount Mix & Match?
Volume Discount Mix & Match is not a separate discount type — it is the same Volume Discount with the Mix & Match feature enabled. The core volume discount configuration stays exactly the same; Mix & Match simply adds a modern, interactive buying experience on top of it, letting customers select products and quantities from an interactive list, with dynamic tier feedback and a sticky summary bar. It is POS supported and perfect for boosting average order value through a modern, engaging buying flow.

🛠️ Step 1: Create the Offer
Go to Bundles & Discounts on the Appstle Bundles dashboard and click Create Offer.
🧱 Step 2: Select the Volume Discount Mix & Match
On the Create an Offer page, open the Volume Discount Mix & Match tab and click Create Discount.
📝 Step 3: Configure the Volume Discount :
The base configuration is exactly the same as a standard Volume Discount:
Choose a Deal Template to start with, then adjust products, tiers, and labels.
In Offer Setup, enter the Internal Name, Bundle Title, and Checkout Discount Name, and select the eligible products or collections.
Manage your discount tiers in Tiered Discounts.
Fine-tune the offer using Widget Style, Schedule, Purchase Options, Subscriptions, Upsells, Progressive Gifts, Display Options, Discount Stacking, Tags and Visibility, and the Announcement Bar.

🧩 Step 4: Enable the Mix & Match Toggle
In the discount configuration, enable the Mix & Match toggle to turn on the mix-and-match experience.
📌 Note: Mix & Match needs the Appstle Bundles add-to-cart button so customers can add their selected items together.
Bundle Redirects → Choose where customers go on checkout (e.g., Cart - Bundle redirects to cart: the customers will be redirected to the cart page once they click on the checkout button).
🎛️ Step 5: Variant Display Options
Two optional toggles control how Mix & Match variants are displayed and added to the cart:
Enable compact Mix & Match variants → Show a compact UI for Mix & Match variants to save space and improve layout density.
Enable add to cart with native button → Hide the dedicated Mix & Match add-to-cart button and add the selected products using the product page's native add-to-cart button instead.
🏷️ Step 6: Customize the Widget Labels
All Mix & Match widget texts can be customized and translated using the Translate option next to each field:
Tier labels → Tier quantity text and tier discount text (use {{discountQuantityLabel}} and {{discount}} for dynamic values).
Badges → Free gift badge (+ Gift) and upsell badge (+ Upsell) shown on relevant tiers.
Buttons & links → Add product, Add to cart, and See all texts.
Headings & statuses → Selected items heading, plus Locked/Unlocked tier status texts.
Rule-level label translations for all label fields, such as title, description, tiered discount, upsell, etc. can also be done
Once saved, your Volume Discount Mix and Match Bundle will be available on your Shopify Storefront.
