By default, if you change the price of a product in Shopify, it will not automatically update the price of that product in any existing subscriptions. Subscription terms are set at the time of creation and stay fixed unless you or the customer make a change.
You can update subscription pricing in the ways described below — automatically across all subscriptions, or manually for selected subscriptions.
🔄 Option 1: Automatically update prices in all subscriptions
If you'd like prices to update automatically in all existing subscriptions whenever you change a product's price in Shopify, go to:
Appstle Dashboard → Shop Settings → Automatic Updates
Then choose your preferred option:
Sync product prices with store catalog — When you change a product's price in your store, the price is automatically updated in all associated subscriptions. Existing discounts are preserved according to your pricing policy.
💡 For a deeper explanation of how automatic price syncing works, see: How to use the Auto Sync Settings feature for operational efficiency.
✏️ Option 2: Update prices for selected subscriptions only
If you want to update pricing for specific existing subscriptions only, you can do so in two ways.
Update the price for a single subscription
Go to Subscriptions (in the menu on the left of your screen).
Click on the desired Subscription ID.
Click the ellipsis (…) next to the product whose price you want to change.
Click Edit Price.
Update the price for multiple subscriptions
Go to Subscriptions (in the menu on the left of your screen).
Select all of the desired Subscription IDs.
Click the ellipsis (…) on the right-hand side of the screen.
Click Update Product Prices.
